I once heard that God and nature designed mammal babies (animal and human) to be so darn cute so that we'd overlook how frustrating they can be.  Those big eyes, pouty lips, chubby limbs are meant to lull us into a semi-psychotic state where we will let stomp on our very last nerve and suck out our very last bit of energy.  Our dams are besotted with puppies whether its their own litter or a pack mates.  I can play an audio of newborn puppy sounds and it will make my 14-year-old Mia perk her ears up, sniff the air and widen her pupils in her best Puss N' Boots impression.  But after 8 weeks, their puppy becomes yours for 2 years.  I know you will love them because, yes, they are cute.  However, one of my goals as a boutique breeder is to NOT spread frustration.  So you have to ask yourself, does my lifestyle match a Beach Mountain Lab?

• Are you active and excited to include your dog  in your activities at least weekly if not daily?  This would be hiking, hunting, paddleboarding, desert off-road trips, sailing, short jogs, beach stuff, road trips, park days with kids, snow play, etc.
• Are you willing to use a crate to create a safe space for your young dog?
• Are you interested in teaching basic commands and setting a few ground rules for you pooch inside and out of the house?  This is a working class breed and mine are closer to the original working breed than some others.  They thrive off exercise, boundaries and figuring out how to please you. If you can give them a job to do they will reward you with contentment.
• Do you have access to areas where your new family member can run off leash?
• Do you like to throw things?

We stand behind our puppies and guarantee their genetic health for up to two years. We also provide a lifetime of support to our puppy owners, including advice on training, nutrition, and any other questions you may have.

Our breeding program is carefully designed to produce healthy, well-socialized puppies that meet the breed standard.  They are raised with toddlers, rowdy teens, and cats.  Every stud is DNA-tested for every imaginable condition and all parents must have OFA-certified good hips and elbows.

A quick conversation will help us both figure out if this breeding is a good fit for you and give me an idea if I have the gender or temperament you're looking for. If so, you may put a deposit down of $400 to reserve your pick of litter. That means at 8 weeks, you will come here and choose your puppy based on the order that the deposit was received.  Before birth, I can accept deposits on up to 3 picks of each gender.  Deposits will be refunded or held until another breeding should there not be enough of one gender or pointing instinct, etc.  Final Balance is due at pick up and upon signing the puppy contract/health guarantee. I can occasionally hold puppies for a week or so longer, but at 10 weeks will begin charge boarding and training fees because they need to start learning.  Price for a puppy from Mocha X Otter 2025 is $2300

This is a $50 fee to reserve your place on the CALL LIST.
